ENTHUSIASTIC HELPERS

A successful show takes a lot of team effort. If you are willing to volunteer your time during rehearsals or during the performances, we welcome you to come on board! We’ve got something for you to do!

MUSICAL DIRECTOR

The music director is responsible for working with the stage director in preparing a theatre production for public performance, including casting, rehearsing the vocalists and orchestra, and conducting the orchestra.

PROPERTIES MASTER

LIGHTING DESIGNER

The Lighting Designer attends rehearsals to get a feel for the lighting cues and to plan how to light the actors as they move from place to place on stage. The lighting designer decides which lights will be used.

HAIR & MAKEUP ARTISTS

Hair & Makeup Artists are responsible for the design and execution of hairstyle and color for cast members; application of make-up to actors appearing on stage.

STAGE MANAGERS

Stage Managers provide practical and organizational support to the director, actors, designers, stage crew and technicians throughout the production process. They also are the director’s representatives during performances.

SET DESIGNER

The Set Designer designs the physical surroundings in which the action will take place using scenery, furniture, and props. The designer sets the style and tone of the whole production.

SOUND TECHNICIAN

The Sound Technician plans and provides the sound effects in the play, including music. The technician attends tech rehearsals and usually runs the actual shows.

COSTUMERS

Costumers create the look of each character by designing or sewing clothes and accessories the actors will wear in performance. Depending on their style and complexity, costumes may be made, bought, revamped out of existing stock or rented.
